J_W_ANDERSON

During Paris fashion week, LVMH announced they had bought a minority stake in the J.W. Anderson label. Anderson, the self-confessed “obsessive’ who produces two mens and womenswear collections a year plus resort, pre-fall and additional projects with relative ease, will now also act as creative director of leather brand Loewe. In this video interview he discusses his womenswear SS14 collection, and why he “will never see fashion as an art form.”

“Fashion for me is about living, and being stimulated. It’s about finding something new, and yes, ultimately [not compromising],” says Anderson.

MUSIC

In order to offer an opportunity to the promotion of the last album released from James Blake and also make visible clothing from menswear collection at the same time, this musician from London and his band would perform some songs dressed in the latest J_W_Anderson collection.

It would be preferable at the end of the corridor indoors, however this had to be decided with the musician due to technical installation.

CATWALK

The models would come from the strand level down the stairs connecting the embankment one, so the circuit is only one way down without coming back to the start. The seats would be one row deep in order to leave space for the models and their visibility round the place.

There will be two strategic points for press and photographers, one at the end of the stairs and another in front of the great arch.

RETHINKing catwalk:

In order to make it easy for the guests, the fashion show would be still at Somerset House London. However the forward fashion show would be at the Lightwells and Deadhouse, in a more intimate place.
